Privacy Policy

This is my personal website. I try to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what I do collect, why, and who else touches it.

The short version

  • If you email me or use the contact form, I get what you send me.
  • If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is stored by Beehiiv.
  • I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It uses cookies.
  • I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services listed below.

What I collect, and why

Contact form and email. When you use the form on the Work with Me page, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write. The form is delivered to my inbox by a service called FormSubmit. I use this only to read and reply to your message. I keep it in my email the same way I'd keep any other email.

Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address goes to Beehiiv, which runs the ADSN newsletter. Beehiiv uses it to send you the newsletter and may record things like whether an email was opened. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Beehiiv's own privacy policy covers how they handle your data.

Analytics. I use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (city or country, based on IP address), what device and browser they use, and how they found the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. I can't see who you are from it. You can read how Google uses this data here, and you can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Embedded videos. The Podcasts page shows YouTube videos in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn't set YouTube cookies until you press play.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web host, processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

Your choices

  • You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
  • You can ask me what information I have about you, or ask me to delete it, by emailing daniel.druger@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have additional legal rights, and I'll honor them.

Kids

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If I change how I handle information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
